Default IRAY with HDRI lighting and white background with shadow render

    Hello everybody

I hope you can help me?

I want to continue to use IRAY in 3dsMax 2020.
In 3dsMax 2015, I was able to use the I-ray Manager to illuminate my scene with HDRI and set a background, for example, a white color with shadows.

Can someone show me how I get this attitude with the iray plugin out?

A piece of advice would be very happy ..

    Thanks and greetings from Bremen
    Ronny

    Hi Ronny,

You need to use Iray+ IBL to set HDRI for lightning and shadows. In IBL (in Modifier stack) set Shadows on.
In Environment Map put White image, so you get white background.

    This should be all.

    Best!

    Hello Nik,

    Thank you for your answer!
I would like to illuminate the 3D model but with an HDRI image and then the rendering should be white.

    Similar to the sunlight

Here is a picture from 3dsMax 2015 with the Iray Manager

In Iray+ you have IBL light - where you place your HDRI map.
    Check in Lights.

    Best!

Yeah, sometimes we need to start from scratch to get the result

I'm glad it is working for you!

    Best!
