Default Maya Batch render times. Batch render bust?

    Hi.
I have a simple setup in Maya. For 200 iterations (set as max) the frame completes in around 50 seconds with a GPU utilization of around 20%. However if I launch a batch render job from Maya each frame takes over 15 minutes and the GPU utilization is 100%. The resulting image looks identical to doing the render in Maya.

I have checked that IBL environment is set to the same precision for IPR and frame rendering. The resolutions are the same. Not using the denoiser or any post effects.
It's an easy one to test. Just make a sphere and press render. Then from the render menu launch a batch render and you can see the massive performance discrepancy.
    Any ideas??

    Cheers

    Hi Simon,

that is indeed strange. Can you send us logs of both renderings (IPR and Batch). Please check the Log Prefix "Time" in the Logging Manager.

    Hi.
Can you replicate it just with a simple scene?

    Cheers

No, actually I don't have this discrepancy.
