Default IFM and EXR 32k HDRI map issue

    Hello,

I have tested a 32bit HDRI 32k (32768 px x 16384 px) maps .TIF format rendered with Iray. It works just fine. It requires around 8GB of VRam to render and it's super fast!

However the same map .EXR format crashes Maya during the load in the viewport, on my side.

Can you confirm the issue on your side?
Do you have any suggestions to open and render an EXR 32k HDRI map using IFM?

    Thank you
    JC

Hi JC, I think this is an issue with the OpenEXR library itself. Can you share your HDR sphere for checking it?

    Hi Thomas,

I can send you the EXR HDRI 32k image.
Since it's a confidential project, do you have a private address?

    Thank you,
    JC

    Hi Thomas,

Have you by chance tested a 32k 32bit EXR image with IFM ?

Still not working on my side, however the image works just fine with Vray...

Do you have any suggestion on that ?

    Thank you,
    JC

    Hi JC,

it is really an issue with the OpenEXR library. Due to my tests there seems to be a limit of 24,574 x 12,287 pixels.

    I am sorry
    -Thomas
